About the Victoria-Esquimalt Lacrosse Association (VELA)
The Victoria-Esquimalt Lacrosse Association (VELA) is a local lacrosse organization based out of Greater Victoria. We proudly offer both co-ed and female box lacrosse programs, providing athletes with opportunities to play at recreational and competitive levels in a positive, safe, and fun environment.
Our coed divisions serve players ages 4–16 in our catchment area of Esquimalt, View Royal, Vic West, Oak Bay, and Victoria.
We're also the host of all female minor box lacrosse divisions in Greater Victoria and Southern Vancouver Island, welcoming athletes ages 9 - 21.
We acknowledge and thank the Lkwungen People, represented by the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations, for allowing us to live, work and play on their lands. We give thanks for sharing the gift of the Creator's Game which has the power to heal people and communities.
